| The Pinoy Stitch Story
Welcome fellow stitchers! I hope you are enjoying the masterpieces of our famous Filipino Artists. Do you want to know how Pinoystitch started?
Pinoy Stitch is an offspring of my two loves--Art and Cross Stitch. The
needlecraft industry was just enjoying its popularity back in 2003 when
I thought about how lovely it would be to have cross stitch heirlooms
of Filipino paintings gracing Filipino homes.
At least I thought that it was only Filipinos who would be interested
in my site. Several years later, I was amazed when I found that people
from over 45 countries, from the United States, France, U.K, Canada and
all the way to Tunisia were clicking on my site! It rose from a virtual
unknown to number 8 in the
Google directory top arts and crafts cross
stitch list!
Truly Filipino artistry had an appeal not only among my countrymen but
also worldwide, and based on the number of downloaded patterns, the most
popular Filipino Artists are Amorsolo, Blanco and Manansala. Their
works most exemplify the Filipino culture and way of life.
So stay awhile my friends. I hope you have decided which ones you want
to start with? They are a challenge to stitch I must admit, but once it
is finished you will be a proud owner of an heirloom that you can hand
down through generations.
Thank you for dropping by! Below you will are our very own own Amorsolo "Planting Rice",
"La Modelo" and "Nagsunka" which was stitched through the love and
patience of my mom.
